Bidding Guide

Auction grade is a comprehensive evaluation of a used car conducted by Japanese auction house inspectors. With over 115 locations, these inspectors assess a vehicle’s general condition, resulting in grades represented by numbers or letters.

The letters (A, B, C, D, or E) indicate specific exterior and interior conditions, alongside an overall grade. While different houses have varying methods, the grades provide consistent assessments, making it easier for buyers to understand a car’s quality.
